The first virtual Experts Knowledge Share event, 'Best Approaches to Treat MI Patients' will take place at 7 pm (CET) on Tuesday, 31st January 2023.
Register below to secure your place.
During the event, you'll learn about lipids management in relation to CV imaging and intervention, managing patients at very high risk of CVD, and treating LDL-C in the management of ACS with a focus on post-MI and stroke management.
To introduce the series, Prof. Pepe Zamorano shares his view on achieving optimal LDL level post-MI in the video below.
Clinical takeaways:
- High cardiovascular risk post-MI is a chronic disease state, and patients need to receive long-term treatment to ensure the prevention of further cardiac events
- The lower the LDL level, the better. The target is 55mg/dL in high-risk patients, but even lower than this is preferable. The LDL target level also includes a 50% reduction in baseline LDL
- Guidelines suggest a 3-step approach, including high-intensity statins, Ezetimibe and PCSK9 inhibitors
Each Experts Knowledge Share event will provide a unique, high-quality scientific virtual forum for sharing knowledge and experience to support cardiologists, lipidologists and neurologists in their clinical practice.
The first event will be chaired by Prof. Gilles Montalescot, with speakers Prof. Pepe Zamorano and Prof. François Mach.
