Thereafter he started his training to become an internist-endocrinologist. He is currently a fellow in endocrinology at the Erasmus Medical Center, Rotterdam, focusing on several types of endocrine tumors. In the neuroendocrine tumor department he is a sub-investigator of multicenter trials.
